About Us
First Baptist Church has been serving in the heart of Marshall for over 180 years.
Our Vision
FBC Marshall is dedicated to gathering as a cross section of Marshall, Texas to demonstrate together the liberating grace of God in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Making Friends
Church members pray for one another, celebrate each other, and support one another. They share life together through events like movie nights, baby showers, and, of course, good old Baptist potlucks.
Making Disciples
FBC Marshall believes the command to make disciples is not just the task of our pastors, but is the responsibility of the church as a whole. This work is done in worship and study as well as around our dinner tables.
Making a Difference in Marshall
FBC members serve and make connections in local organizations and ministries throughout our community. The church sees this as an extension of the work of First Baptist. Below is a list of just some of the many places you can find FBC members making a difference in Marshall!

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
